Feast of St. Blaise February 3 - Linked to the legend that tells how the saint was able to remove a thorn from the throat of a dying man. In the scenic countryside of Ostuni wilderness thousands of pilgrims make their way on foot (some even barefoot) to the shrine located in a rugged gorge where, in a church, is the obelisk of St. Blaise. Tradition has it that, to remember the episode, before officiating the Mass the priest touches with a wet finger in the holy water the throat of every faithful, making the sign of the cross.

Feast of the Madonna of the Nova - Occurs on the Sunday after Easter. The ostunesi pay visit to the shrine, and then eat a cake shaped like a dove and a boiled egg in the center, told The Palomma. The feast of the "Barco" July is held in the eponymous district and for the occasion the local folk groups perform traditional dances involving all participants. During the festival you can taste many dishes of local gastronomy.

Weekly market on Saturdays - It performs every Saturday morning in a picnic area in via Emigrants, near the Madonna del Pozzo Church.

The "Barco party" - July - In the winding streets of old ancient customs, crafts, traditions and flavors of the past come back to life thanks to the inhabitants of the old district. You can taste the typical local dishes, watch craftsmen weave straw, wicker and rattan to make baskets and mats. And, again, admire now forgotten trades, as umbrellare and acconzopiatte, which particularly aggiustavano umbrellas and clay or ceramics, or Mo curdelare (funaio), using woven plant fibers that created the ropes that were used in the construction of fiscoli, the circular rope of dishes used for pressing oil from the olive paste.

Cavalcade of Sant'Oronzo – August 25-26-27 – Feast dedicated to St. Horace, protector of the city of Ostuni, during these days a procession of horses and riders decked out to the nines, parades through the streets to escort the patron saint. According to a tradition that recurs every year since 1793, every year, during the celebrations and solemn procession dedicated to St. Horace, protector of the city from the mid-seventeenth century. In 1657, in fact, Ostuni and other towns of the Terra d'Otranto were spared from the plague through a miracle that the popular belief attributed to the saint. Hence, it was the devotion of Ostuni, who go in procession to the shrine erected in his honor on the ridges of Mount Morrone. The statue of the saint silver, taken from the Cathedral, is escorted by "valicali" on horseback. The uniform of the knights recalls the Napoleonic period - red jacket, white trousers, cylindrical hat with white plume-red - while the horse, as well as various finished harness is covered with a red mantle Trianta white and embroidered.
